Walk + Bike to School Day

Walk + Bike to School Day is an international event held on the first Wednesday of October each year. In 2008 over 2,800 events were held in the US and 168 schools in Oregon participated. With major support from the Oregon Walk + Bike to School Committee, the BTA helps schools around the state make this event a success. The BTA and our partner organizations offer ongoing support, technical assistance and resources for schools and communities to encourage more kids to walk and bike to school throughout the year. Walk + Bike curriculum and incentives can be purchased through the BTA store.

Nearly 200 Oregon schools participated in Walk + Bike to School Day in 2009.
